What exactly do I get?

Who is it for?

Picture book authors, author-illustrators and small presses, especially anyone whose book isn't selling the way they hoped, who has a launch coming up, or who wants to understand how children's publishing really works.

How do I receive it?

Straight after you pay, you'll see a download button and get an email with your download links. Nothing is posted.

My book is already out. Is it too late?

Not at all. The toolkit includes a relaunch route through positioning, your product page, schools and bookshops.

Do I need a big following?

No. The toolkit focuses on channels that work without one: schools, events, bookshops, libraries, prizes and targeted outreach.

Which countries does it cover?

It's a UK & US edition, and the approach works for authors in Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland too.

Can I get a refund?

Because it's a digital download, refunds aren't offered once the file is downloaded, but if the file is faulty or not as described, I'll replace it or refund you. See the refund policy.

Can I share the file?

The toolkit is licensed to you as the buyer. Please don't share or resell the files.

Can I earn by recommending it?

My book is already out. Is it too late?

Not at all. Start with the Positioning Canvas and the product-page chapter, then go straight to the schools and bookshops chapters and the opportunities directory. Schools and bookshops can relaunch a book at any time.

Is it only for self-published authors?

No. It's written for self-published authors, author-illustrators and small presses, and the industry guide, schools, events and bookshop chapters and the directory work for any children's author.

Do I need a big social media following?

No. The toolkit focuses on channels that work without one: school visits, events, bookshops, libraries, prizes and targeted outreach.

Does it work outside the UK?

Yes. It's a UK & US edition, and where practice differs between markets it says so.

Is it only for picture books?

It's built around picture books, and most of it also applies to board books, early readers and young chapter books.

Can I share the file?

The toolkit is licensed to you as the buyer. You can print and reuse the templates for all of your own books, but please don't share or resell the files.
